Euphoria Borealis x Blonde Cobra: Short film screening
Events are back and so are we!
We are excited to welcome you to a Euphoria Borealis short film screening in collaboration with Blonde Cobra, a German film festival for queer and experimental cinema! We teamed up with our friends from Köln, Germany to organize a fundraising screening to aid and support LGBTQ+ folks in Ukraine!
All the profits from the event will be donated to Outright International Organization helping LGBTQ+ communities in Ukraine!

When: 4th of June, 2022, 19 - 22, doors open 18:45.
Where: Oranssi, Suvilahti.
Fee: Pay what you want, with a suggested donation of 10€. Cash or Mobilepay!
The event and screenings are primarily in English. Most films spoken in a language other than English have subtitles in English. Films spoken in English do unfortunately not have closed captions.

19:00 - Blonde Cobra screening: Confessions of an Actress
“Confessions of an Actress” is full of divas. The films circle around the figure of the actress and the star, oscillating between queer desire, authenticity and fiction.

20:15 - Euphoria Borealis screening: To See and Be Seen
How do we see ourselves, others, the world around us? The films explore the multifaceted relations we have to others and the self.
Content notes: reference to sex, discussion of porn and its tropes (including dubious consent), misgendering, binary discussion of gender, mention of emotional abuse, mention of death, transphobia, heteronormativity, gender clinic, dysphoria, cartoon violence, flashing image, nudity
After the screenings you are welcome to stay and hang out with everyone until 22!

The Oranssi entrance and club space are on ground level and have space to move around in with larger mobility aids. Toilets are gender neutral and there is a spacious wheelchair accessible toilet.
The event follows Oranssi’s safer space guidelines:
● Respect each other and give space to others - be sensitive about topics that can be rough for others.
● Oranssi is an alcohol and drug free space - keep it safe for fellow guests!
● Bodily peace for everyone - don’t touch or comment on people’s bodies without permission. All kinds of violence are strictly forbidden.
● Let everyone define themselves - we can’t know others’ gender, sexuality, background or ability.
● A safer space is built together - everyone is responsible for creating a safe environment. Let’s accept mistakes, take responsibility, adjust our behaviour if needed and help each other out!
